I recently spoke with Peter at his Monkeyclaus studio in Nelson County, and had a wonderful time exploring the labor of love that is described as an ultra high fidelity recording studio, digital download store, musical recording family and magical boat ride for dreamers. Peter and a team of dedicated friends actually built the facility using 25% recycled materials creating an environment and resource friendly recording studio. It is a work of art with a story in every corner.
Bluewall Media offers custom storefronts, and aggregation and filtering technology. I loved the Chocolate sites, like this one with the chocolate tool set (Screenshot from photo by Mike Kepka)Peter's vision in establishing Monkeyclaus was to build a global consciousness in the music community that fosters human unity and imagination through digital media distribution.
Bluewall Media was created to explore the relationship between technology and society through consumer generated media that is highly creative and community focused.
Peter's views on the evolving world created by digital media is nicely captured by a blog post from March a year ago, in which he notes a YouTube video that depicts two six year olds, one filming and one showing off his tricks around a Rubic’s Cube. "What is amazing is that these two kids have GLOBAL DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION. That is revolutionary and the impact is total."
My afternoon with Peter was like taking a magical journey - exploring how the influences of culture, media, technology, and the Internet are coming together to form a new paradigm for global community and how information is gathered and distributed. I suspect the Peter will be leading the way, so better stay tuned for the second installment of this entrepreneur's story.
